Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel/Local Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | 12-Hour Night Shift
Weekend: Every Other Weekend Required
Holiday: Every Other Holiday Required
Floating: May float to Med/Surg as needed
Compensation:
· Weekly Gross Pay: $3,176/week($88.2 per hour)
· Taxable Pay: 576/week ($16/hour)
· Weekly Housing & Meal Stipend: $2,600/week
Local Rate: Local rate applies to candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility and will be lower than the posted travel bill rate.
Unit Details
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in a 38-bed multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
The ICU supports a multidisciplinary nursing environment and requires strong critical-care knowledge, telemetry interpretation skills, and the ability to care for patients across multiple ICU specialties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the ICU, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient-care activities to interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Enter, manage, and interpret computerized patient information.
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips.
- Identify cardiac arrhythmias and heart blocks appropriately.
- Follow facility policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
- Maintain patient safety and provide patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and assist the leadership team as needed.
- Float to Med/Surg when required by operational needs.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience.
- Experience in a multispecialty ICU, including one or more of the following:
- CCU
- SICU
- MICU
- Neuro ICU
- CT ICU
- Telemetry experience required.
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips.
- Must successfully pass the Telemetry Test on Day 1.
