Position: School Entry Level Night Shift Custodian
Minimum Educational Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent
These positions can be physically demanding and often require significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine motor skills, flexibility, and dexterity.
Applicants must be able to:
- work with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- work independently, organize, and prioritize workloads.
- coordinate and supervise coworkers.
- work collaboratively with others to problem solve and meet building needs.
- accept embrace change where required to meet building needs.
- follow written and oral instructions.
- maintain a hazard free environment for students, staff, and the general public.
- be on your feet for a full 8-hr shift.
- perform routine maintenance tasks as needed or assigned.
- lift 50 lbs regularly.
- climb step ladder and stairs.
- keep stoops and walkways clear of snow and ice in winter…debris in all seasons.
- use cleaning tools and appropriate sanitizing procedures.
- participate in necessary trainings and drills as assigned.
- tolerate exposure to and follow proper safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals.
- tolerate exposure to dust, foul odors, extreme temperatures, noise, and heights.
