About the role
Focal Massage is a therapeutic, results-focused clinic. This is not a spa environment. Most sessions are short, targeted 30-minute appointments designed to help clients reduce pain, improve movement, and make real progress over time.
We are membership based, which supports steady demand and a consistent schedule build year-round.
Pay and earnings examples
Base pay is $30 per completed 30 minute session, plus tips.
That equals $60 per hands on hour, plus tips.
Because we build in 15 to 30 minute breaks between sessions, a fully booked schedule typically looks like:
6 hour shift: about 6 to 8 sessions, base pay about $180 to $240, plus tips
24 scheduled hours per week: about 24 to 32 sessions, base pay about $720 to $960, plus tips
We market heavily and so far, we have been able to give therapists a full schedule from day 1.
Schedule
Create your own schedule. We offer flexible scheduling options from about 6 to 36 hours per week.
Sessions are scheduled with 15 to 30 minute breaks between clients for notes, reset, hydration, and recovery.
What you will do
Provide focused 30 minute therapeutic massage sessions following our clinic’s workflow.
Complete a quick intake that includes posture analysis and movement based screening.
Apply myofascial techniques, neuromuscular methods, and strategic work along movement chains and meridian based lines to support client outcomes.
Educate clients in simple language about what you are finding and what the plan is.
Document sessions and recommendations clearly.
Maintain a professional, safe treatment environment and follow all draping and sanitation standards.
What we are looking for
Active Tennessee massage therapy license.
Coachability and a strong desire to learn a consistent therapeutic system.
Comfortable communicating with clients, asking good questions, and setting clear expectations.
Reliable attendance and professionalism.
Comfortable working at an efficient pace while keeping session quality high.
