Position Summary
The Millwork Superintendent at Genesis Millwork is responsible for overseeing all on-site millwork installation activities across multiple projects. This role ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight & Execution
· Supervise daily millwork installation activities on job sites
· Ensure work is performed according to architectural drawings and specifications
· Coordinate sequencing of installation with other trades
· Monitor schedules and address delays proactively
· Conduct regular site walks to verify progress and quality
· Obtain field dimensions and send update email to key persons
· Communicate effectively with everyone involved on the project
Field Coordination
· Act as the primary on-site contact for millwork operations
· Coordinate with Project Managers and General Contractors
· Ensure proper material delivery and staging.
· Get all drawings, scope, and any specialty supplies needed by installers loaded on the truck when delivery is made.
· Resolve field issues and discrepancies quickly
Labor & Crew Management
· Supervise installers and subcontractors
· Assign daily tasks and manage productivity
· Maintain proper staffing levels
· Train and mentor field personnel
Quality Control
· Inspect installed millwork for accuracy and finish
· Ensure installations meet company standards
· Identify and correct deficiencies
· Coordinate punch list completion
Safety Management
· Enforce OSHA and safety regulations
· Conduct toolbox talks
· Ensure proper use of PPE
· Identify and mitigate hazards
Scheduling & Planning
· Coordinate manpower and materials
· Track progress against milestones
· Communicate updates to stakeholders
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain daily reports of progress and labor
· Document field changes and RFIs
· Assist with change orders
· Maintain as-built documentation
Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
