Responsibilities
- Safely operate courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload deliveries efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and punctuality while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing friendly service, answering questions, and addressing any concerns with a positive attitude.
- Load, secure, and transport food items or packages accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, reports, and documentation of all routes completed.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory movement or stock organization when needed.
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks related to moving or loading items regularly.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries under varying conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred but not required.
