Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure a seamless flow of service
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Experience with fine dining standards or upscale restaurants is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous for supporting food prep when necessary
- OpenTable experience or similar reservation management tools is preferred
