Description
The Lead Tool and Equipment Asset Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and providing expert guidance on inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Fulfills pick tickets accurately and efficiently.
- Checks tools and equipment into the warehouse, verifying their condition and quantity against accompanying documentation.
- Transfers items in ToolWatch to the proper locations.
- Inspects tools, rigging, and fall protection equipment for damage or wear to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Tests tools returned from job sites to ensure functionality and safety.
- Performs regular inventory counts to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
- Operates a forklift safely and efficiently to load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Enters new tools and equipment into ToolWatch, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Cleans and organizes the warehouse to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conducts regular audits of tool and equipment inventory to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Coordinates the disposal and replacement of obsolete or damaged tools and equipment.
- Leads the development and maintenance of the ToolWatch system.
- Proactively identifies and resolves inventory issues.
- Prepares regular reports on inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and warehouse operations.
- Tracks expenses and ensures adherence to budget constraints.
- Leads the development and implementation of process improvements aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the tools & equipment department.
- Resolves complex issues and challenges, requiring creative solutions and in-depth analysis.
- Participates in the planning and execution of complex projects.
- Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive inventory management strategies.
- Supports development and deliver training programs for the tools & equipment department.
- Assists in the development of the annual budget for logistics expenses.
- Mentors and trains team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Represents the equipment team in meetings and presentations.
- Conducts thorough investigations of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
- Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
- Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 16 years of experience in tool & equipment management or warehousing required.
- Proficient computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management systems and principles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Forklift certification required.
