About Octozi
Bringing a new drug to market takes over a decade and costs more than a billion dollars. A huge portion of that time and cost sits in clinical trials, where teams of medical reviewers manually comb through patient data looking for errors, inconsistencies, and safety signals before anything reaches regulators. The work is slow, expensive, and error-prone, and it has barely changed in decades.
Octozi is changing that. We are building the AI-powered review platform that pharma sponsors and CROs use to clean and review clinical trial data faster and more reliably than manual review. We have signed contracts with multiple pharma customers running live late stage studies, and we are backed by a seed round.
Our recent paper documents what the platform achieves on real oncology trial data: 6x faster throughput, 6.4x fewer missed errors, 15.4x fewer false queries, and an estimated $5.1M in savings per Phase III trial. The numbers come from a hybrid architecture combining LLMs, clinical heuristics, and structured human review.
The Role
We're hiring our first dedicated Account Executive to own the full commercial cycle from prospecting through close. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role at a seed-stage company with a compelling proof point and a growing pipeline. You'll be selling into clinical operations, data management, and biometrics leadership at mid-size and large pharma sponsors and CROs.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end sales from outbound prospecting and inbound qualification through discovery, demo, pilot scoping, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Build and manage a pipeline of pharma and biotech accounts, with particular focus on sponsors running Phase II/III studies
- Navigate complex multi-stakeholder deals involving clinical operations, data management, IT, legal, and procurement
- Partner closely with the CEO and CMO on deal strategy, pricing, and contract structuring
- Represent Octozi at industry events and conferences (DIA, ASCO, SCOPE, and similar)
- Develop deep familiarity with clinical data operations workflows to hold credible conversations with technical buyers
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of full-cycle B2B enterprise software sales experience, with demonstrated ownership from prospecting through close
- Prior experience selling into biotech, pharma, or life sciences, ideally into clinical operations, data management, or biometrics functions
- Comfortable with longer enterprise sales cycles (3-9 months), multi-stakeholder deals, and pilot-to-contract structures
- Proven track record hitting or exceeding quota in a startup or scale-up environment
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical buyers and hold credibility with technical ones
- New York-based; comfortable with a hybrid in-office schedule
Nice to Have
- Prior experience at a CRO, EDC vendor, or clinical tech company (Medidata, Veeva, Oracle Health Sciences, etc.)
- Familiarity with clinical trial data workflows, eClinical systems, or GCP/regulatory context
- Experience structuring and closing pilot agreements that convert to SaaS contracts
Compensation
Base salary of $110,000-$140,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based commission. Total on-target earnings of $200,000-$240,000 at quota. Meaningful equity participation included.

Location and Work Setup
NYC headquarters, hybrid. We are flexible on which days you're in the office, but we expect founding team members to be in person with the team regularly.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
