Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of construction operations and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt and dirt etc. to and from designated locations such as construction sites, quarries, asphalt plants etc.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating heavy equipment on and off construction sites.
- Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, including cleaning and minor repairs.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks; familiarity with bulldozers, backhoes, graders, and loaders is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction site operations and safety practices.
- Knowledge of the Tri-State area.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of driving and manual labor tasks as required.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site demands.
