Service/Repair Technician – 1st Shift

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Service/Repair Technician with experience in diagnosing and repairing commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs according to manufacturer standards, OEM guidelines, and company specifications.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulics on dump trucks, snowplows, liftgates, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Engage in fabricating and welding tasks as required.
- Repair generators, compressors, cranes, and more.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of repair and upfitting procedures.
- Safely maneuver vehicles and equipment within the shop and surrounding areas.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained during service work.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies consistently.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Read and comprehend installation instructions accurately.
- Communicate effectively with team members and departments.
- Maintain high-quality standards and personal productivity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to machinery and moving parts.
- Working in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Subject to excessive noise levels.
Experience Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with standard hand tools.
- Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
- Basic fabricating and welding skills.
- Experience testing equipment for proper operation.
- Possession of quality personal tools.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to learn and train on specific repairs for generators, compressors, snowplows, cranes, etc.
- HIIIIIAbility to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures and physical demands (standing, kneeling, bending).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
