Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Driver to join our team. Part-time driver for transporting school children. This requires applicants to have a special endorsement on their driver's license it is not a regular license. An S or V passenger endorsement is required to be considered for this position for school. Looking for a driver in the Norwich-New London area
Drivers typically work 30-35+ hours per week, but actual hours will vary. This is a Monday-Friday position, typical hours are between 5:30-9:30 AM and 1:30-5:30 PM. We provide transportation all over the state of CT. Company vehicles and fuel cards are provided. Drivers are able to garage the vehicles at their homes when not in use.
Background checks are required as well as pre- employment and random drug tests per DOT. Hours vary based on school schedules. Competitive hourly wage.
This is primarily school based, so hours will vary and are very limited during the summer.
Duties:
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's V or S Passenger endorsement is required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.
