Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to lead our banquet and catering operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of banquet events from setup to breakdown, ensuring all details align with client specifications and quality standards
- Supervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, kitchen personnel, and event coordinators, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on excellence
- Manage inventory control for banquet supplies, food ingredients, beverages, and equipment to optimize costs and reduce waste
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure consistency with menu standards and guest expectations
- Coordinate with culinary teams to facilitate smooth kitchen operations, including cooking, food production, and timely delivery of dishes
- Handle POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, billing, and cash handling with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all banquet activities
- Manage shift schedules, monitor staff performance during events, and conduct interviewing for new team members as needed
- Collaborate with sales or event planning teams to customize menus and accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions
- Monitor budgets for banquet operations while maintaining high-quality service levels
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management within a quick service & fast food restaurant or fine dining environment; banquet experience is highly preferred
- Strong supervisory skills with previous supervising or management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary fundamentals, and food handling safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, staff training & development, and shift management
- Ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills paired with leadership qualities that motivate staff toward shared goals
- Hospitality management background with experience in catering or hotel banquet operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while ensuring operational excellence
