Job Overview
- Looking for someone with experience in the kitchen, including line cooks, sandwich makers, and chefs.
- Hours are typically 6am-3:30pm for weekdays, and 6am-2:30 on weekends. Part time and full time positions available.
- Preference given to experienced candidates, and those with flexible availability, especially weekend availability.
- This job involves using cooking tools including hot ovens and panini press, carrying loads up to 30lbs, going up/down stairs, and being on your feet for 8+ hours.
- Pay is commensurate with experience; generally starts at $16/hour plus tips.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, equipment, and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations to prevent contamination
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food preparation, and basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling practices is essential
- Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are vital for success in this role
