Looking for a hands-on maintenance position with steady daytime hours and no weekends? We're hiring a dependable Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in Fairbury to help keep plant equipment, machinery and facilities operating safely and efficiently.
Starting pay is $17.50/hour or more based on experience with performance reviews at 60 days, 6 months and annually thereafter. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy troubleshooting problems and take pride in keeping equipment running, we want to hear from you.
This position will primarily focus on routine manufacturing maintenance, with some general building and facility maintenance as needed. Responsibilities include:
Equipment Repair: Troubleshoot, service and repair plant machinery, tools and equipment
Preventative Maintenance: Complete routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to help prevent equipment failures and production downtime
Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
Perform general mechanical repairs and adjustments
Assist with facility and building maintenance as needed
Help keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently
Identify potential maintenance issues before they become larger problems
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
Follow company safety procedures and maintenance standards
We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred.
Successful candidates should have:
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience with equipment repair or maintenance
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs
Strong attention to detail
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Commitment to workplace safety
Willingness to assist with both equipment and facility maintenance

Employees initially accrue vacation at a rate equal to two weeks per year. Beginning with the 6th anniversary, vacation accrual increases to three weeks per year, and beginning with the 12th anniversary, it increases to four weeks per year.
