Lead Coach: General expectations of a lead coach includes a general knowledge of both basic and Intermediate Chess (or a willingness to learn). A general knowledge of educational classroom structure, understanding of how a classroom is run and a basic understanding of computer chess games would be helpful. A high level of chess knowledge is not needed in this position as lead coaches will generally be working with rookie players, under the guidance of a Site Manager or Head Coach. Your key focus, like all teachers/coaches, is child safety, customer service and fun!
A satisfactory background check is required and mandatory to work with children. Training is provided!
