Worcester Academy seeks candidates for the temporary position of Summer Seasonal Maintenance Support. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the candidate will perform routine manual maintenance operations including but not limited to; grounds and green space maintenance, event operations and set-up, painting, trash removal and other work assigned. All work is performed on the campus of Worcester Academy, often outdoors, in all types of weather.
30 hours 8am – 2:30pm, Flexible
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY OBJECTIVES
- Responsible for completing work orders or verbal assignments as assigned.
- Perform general landscaping duties and assist with special summer projects.
- Removal of trash and rubbish from assigned areas.
- Perform routine custodial and housekeeping tasks: sweep, mop, vacuum, dust.
- Maintain clean work environment during assignment and thorough clean-up after completion.
- Perform manual labor including moving heavy objects, assembling furniture, general repairs.
- Operate light equipment such as medium size hand mower, weed trimmer.
- Report campus repair needs as they arise.
- Ability to move, load, unload supplies between buildings or within rooms using hand truck.
- Ability to work in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
