Columbus High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School Science Teacher to join our team beginning in the 2026-27 school year. This is a full-time position located at Columbus High School in Columbus, WI.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Teaching a range of high school science courses, which may expand all grade levels and abilities from our beginning freshman to our advanced upperclassmen
Developing and implementing engaging, standards-aligned curriculum and lesson plans.
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
Assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
Collaborating with the science department and other faculty members to enhance the overall educational experience.
Supervising student activities, clubs, or co-curricular programs as needed.
Attending and participating in professional development opportunities and faculty meetings
Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field.
Valid Wisconsin teaching license in High School Science (or eligibility to obtain one).
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in science instruction and classroom management.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with technology integration in the classroom is preferred.
Round 1 interviews will take place on Wednesday, April 29th. If Round 2 interviews are needed, they will take place on Monday, May 4th.

Valid Wisconsin teaching license in High School Science (or eligibility to obtain one)
Licensed must cover Biology
Preference will be given to licenses beyond a Broadfield Science (1601) license
