Position Summary
Polk Mechanical is seeking an experienced MEP Project Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. This role oversees plumbing, piping, and HVAC operations, managing multiple job sites, superintendents, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field operations across multiple projects including plumbing, piping, and HVAC scopes
- Manage and direct Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel to maintain productivity and quality standards
- Establish project objectives, schedules, manpower plans, and performance standards aligned with company goals
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure budget adherence and schedule execution
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and A/E teams
- Drive safety initiatives, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and company safety programs
- Monitor labor productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency and control costs
- Lead project meetings, provide progress updates, and resolve field challenges proactively
- Oversee quality control of all installed systems, ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and standards
- Coordinate manpower across projects to optimize resource allocation and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction (plumbing, piping, HVAC)
- 5+ years in a leadership role (Superintendent or higher)
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, piping systems, and HVAC/ductwork installation methods
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
- Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and codes across all major trades
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to drive schedule performance, labor productivity, and cost control
Preferred Experience
- Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Background managing multi-site operations or large field teams
- Familiarity with project management tools and construction software
Pay: $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
