Altera Landscaping is seeking a Landscape Technician to join our growing team. This position starts part-time and as-needed. Our goal is to grow this role into a consistent full-time position for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who already has some landscaping experience and can contribute from day one while growing with the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Hedge and shrub trimming
- Property cleanups
- Mulch installation
- Planting and landscape enhancement projects
- Safe operation of landscaping equipment
- Loading and unloading equipment and materials
- Assisting with pressure washing projects
- General landscape maintenance and improvement work
Requirements
- Previous landscaping experience required
- Experience operating commercial mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers
- Reliable transportation required to reach the initial job site each morning; employee will then ride in a company truck to additional job sites.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude when interacting with customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Experience driving trucks and towing trailers
- Must speak English and/or Spanish and be able to understand and communicate in basic English.
- Experience with plant installation, hedge trimming, mulch installation, and property cleanups
Compensation & Growth
- $20-$24 per hour based on experience
- W-2 Employee Position
- Part-time to start
- Additional hours available based on workload
