Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This is for a new concept Gastropub with 200 seats. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, oversee food preparation, and manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. As a Chef, you will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while inspiring your team to excel. Your leadership will ensure smooth kitchen management and elevate our culinary offerings to delight every guest.
Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service delivery across all dining outlets
- Lead menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining consistency with established standards
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality presentation and flavor profiles
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining environment
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, providing training on culinary techniques, and promoting professional growth
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between meal periods and effective staffing coverage
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and menu modifications
- Maintain high standards of hospitality by supporting the food service team in delivering excellent guest experiences
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
- Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen setting with team management responsibilities
- Knowledge of banquet operations, catering, and restaurant management practices
- Expertise in food production, food handling, and food safety protocols
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Excellent menu planning skills with creativity in dish development
- Proficiency in inventory management, control procedures, and cost optimization strategies
