Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a desire to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This is a base pay plus tip position.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and café operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic retail math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
