**Overview:**
Do you enjoy having weekends off? We are a fast-paced animal hospital looking to hire a skilled veterinary technician or assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality veterinary services. Our hospital is open Monday through Friday and is closed on weekends! Some job duties may include nail trims, anal gland expressions, injection administration, blood draws, radiographs, catheter placement, and general patient care. We are seeking a dedicated team player to join our team.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist veterinarians.
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, catheter placements, dental cleanings, and dental radiographs.
- Monitor and record the vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians, including drug calculations.
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures.
- Take radiographs of animals.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood tests.
- Assist with medical grooming and nail trimming.
**Qualifications:**
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the veterinary field.
- Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common diseases.
- Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $32.00 per hour
