Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized and attractive store layout
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures with integrity
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock replenishments, and organizing merchandise displays
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory counts
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team support roles
- Ability to perform cashiering duties confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Excellent phone etiquette, active listening skills, and a friendly demeanor to foster positive customer interactions
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail calculations
