Position Available: Assistant General Manager
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 (Commensurate with experience)
About the Role:
As an Assistant General Manager at Matt the Millers Tavern, you’ll play a pivotal role in orchestrating the financial and cultural success of our restaurants. Working closely with the General Manager, you will lead by example in both front and back of house operations, motivating and inspiring our team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Training all restaurant staff, including servers and hosts
- Efficiently scheduling employees to ensure optimal coverage while managing labor costs
- Streamlining restaurant processes to enhance the guest experience
- Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales and expenses, alongside the General Manager
- Enforcing food handling regulations and maintaining high standards of guest safety
- Proactively promoting the restaurant to attract more guests
- Handling customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency
- Assisting with necessary paperwork such as sales, inventory, and staff attendance reports
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience in the hospitality industry
- Familiarity with P&L management, or a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Proven ability to engage guests and foster a strong team culture
- Night and weekend and Holiday availability is a must
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $60-$70K based on experience
