Tiger Dumpsters is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to keep our trucks on the road. We run a growing fleet of hook-lift dumpster trucks serving Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. This job is based out of our North Reading, MA yard and Boxborough, MA garage.
NO NIGHTS. NO ON-CALL.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Routine maintenance and repairs on hook-lift trucks (oil changes, brakes, hydraulics, PMs)
- Diagnosing and fixing issues drivers run into during the day
- Light welding, patching, and repairs on dumpsters and containers
- Keeping basic service records, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules
- Helping drivers with mechanical questions and keeping the shop running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience working on diesel trucks (hook-lift experience is a big plus)
- Basic welding and fabrication skills
- Someone reliable who stays ahead of problems instead of waiting for breakdowns
- Comfortable working independently and talking directly with drivers and dispatch
