Overview:
We are hiring a freight factoring Account Executive in the most freight-diverse market in the United States. Houston is simultaneously the nation’s largest port by waterborne tonnage, the logistics backbone of the Permian Basin energy corridor, and a major OTR hub at the crossroads of I-10, I-45, and I-69. Drayage carriers, oilfield haulers, and long-haul OTR operators all run on this market – and virtually all of them are waiting 30 to 60 days to get paid. Your territory, your book, your opportunity.
As our first hire in the Houston market, you will have the advantage of a wide-open territory with no internal competition and full organizational support during ramp.
Candidates with existing relationships in OTR freight factoring, last mile carrier finance, or oilfield transportation strongly preferred. Familiarity with Ship Channel carriers, energy sector haulers, or Gulf Coast OTR networks is a significant advantage.
[This is a remote role. Territory covers the Houston Ship Channel corridor, the Energy Corridor, and the surrounding Gulf Coast markets including Pasadena, Baytown, Texas City and The Woodlands.]

Job Description:
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented **Account Executive – Factoring Sales** to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new factoring business relationships. You will serve as a trusted financial advisor to prospects and clients, guiding them through the benefits of accounts receivable factoring and structuring deals that create long-term value.
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role with direct visibility to senior leadership and significant earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prospect & Generate Leads: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold outreach, referral networks, brokers, banking partners, and industry events.
· Responsible for making client visits in assigned region.
· Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments with business owners and CFOs to understand their cash flow challenges and present tailored factoring solutions.
· Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an active, organized sales pipeline using Compass CRM; provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
· Deal Structuring: Collaborate with underwriting and operations to structure competitive factoring programs that meet client needs while adhering to company risk guidelines.
· Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, referral sources, brokers, and industry partners.
· Market Development: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions; identify opportunities cross-sell opportunities to expand Compass Holding's presence in target markets.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
· Meet & Exceed Targets: Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly funded volume and revenue goals.
Qualifications:
Required
· Spanish speaking fluency (preferred).
· Strong understanding of accounts receivable, invoice factoring, or trade finance concepts.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
· Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
Desired
· Experience in factoring, asset-based lending (ABL), or working capital finance.
· Established book of business or referral network in trucking/transportation, staffing, manufacturing, or distribution.
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
· 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in financial services, commercial lending, or factoring.
Compensation:
Base salary commensurate with experience, plus residual commission paid as a percentage of factoring fees collected on funded volume.
Every client you close and retain generates recurring commission – a deal you fund in January is still paying in December. There are no caps, no resets, and no claw backs on renewals. An Account Executive who builds and maintains an active book can generate a higher level of income as a top performer.
A draw against commission is available during the ramp up period for qualified candidates – we understand that building a book takes time, and we invest in producers who are serious about the long game.
