The Core Content Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, rigorous instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies.

Monitor student learning during instruction through questioning, observation, and analysis of student work.

Use diagnostic, formative, and summative data to adjust instruction and support student progress.

Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Professional Collaboration and Growth

Participate actively in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on data, student work, and instructional improvement.

Collaborate with academic coaches and CCL Team to integrate relevance and real-world application into lessons.

Engage in Adult Strong Start and ongoing professional development.

Reflect on practice and demonstrate continuous professional growth aligned to school priorities.
Communication & Family Partnership

Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress, learning goals, and celebrations.

Valid North Carolina Teaching License in the relevant subject area.
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or the appropriate content field.
-
Demonstrated success improving student outcomes.
Strong instructional and classroom management skills.

Master’s Degree in Education or Curriculum & Instruction.
-
Experience with project-based learning or career-connected instruction.
-
Familiarity with restorative practices and SEL integration.
-

Participate in Adult Strong Start and contribute to a culture of reflection and collaboration.

Maintain high expectations and a growth mindset for all learners.
