First Friends Preschool is a Christ centered early childhood program committed to nurturing children in a loving, faith-based environment. We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Music & Movement Teacher to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Music & Movement Teacher will introduce and lead engaging music and movement activities for children ages 18 months through Private Kindergarten. This individual will also collaborate with the Director to help plan and lead the Christmas Program and the End-of-Year Graduation Program for Pre-K and Private Kindergarten students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach age-appropriate music and movement lessons that are joyful, faith-filled, and developmentally appropriate
- Incorporate Christian songs and Bible-based music into weekly instruction
- Rotate through classes Monday–Thursday, providing instruction to multiple age groups
- Collaborate with the Director to coordinate and rehearse for school-wide performances, including:
- Christmas Program (all students)
- End-of-Year Graduation Program (Pre-K & Private Kindergarten)
Qualifications:
- A personal Christian faith and willingness to submit a Statement of Faith
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A love for children and a heart for Christian ministry
