Collections Specialist (Remote)
Location: 100% Remote (must be authorized to work in the U.S.)
Preferred Time Zones: Must be MST, or PST
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (slight flexibility available)

Job Overview
You will be responsible for persistently following up with insurance companies and adjusters to ensure payment for our services, answering invoice-related inquiries, and handling minor escalations. You’ll work directly under our Collections Supervisor, who manages the most escalated cases.
Responsibilities
- Proactively follow up with insurance companies and adjusters to secure payment for invoices.
- Place follow-up calls to adjusters regarding submitted invoices and claim documentation.
- Respond to adjuster and customer inquiries regarding invoices, job details, and payment status.
- Handle minor escalations and resolve payment disputes before they reach the Collections Supervisor.
- Track and document all communication related to collections in our system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure invoices are accurate and properly processed.
- Escalate complex cases to the Collections Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Previous experience as an insurance adjuster or in collections.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills; comfortable having tough conversations while staying professional.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple follow-ups at once.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and persistently following up on payments.
- Proficient with CRM software, invoicing tools, and Google Office Suite.
- Able to work independently while coordinating with a team.
