JOB TITLE: PART-TIME BUS DRIVER - SCHOOL - GEORGETOWN TX
TEAM: TRANSPORTATION
REPORTS TO: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

SALARY: $21-$31 HOURLY -
WORK DAYS: 182B
SCHEDULE: 5:30AM - 9:30AM -Part Time - minimum of 20hrs with an opportunity to work up to 40hrs a week
LOCATION: GEORGETOWN & BELTON TEXAS
COMPETENCIES: Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver license (Class B) with P and S Endorsement and a Texas school bus driver certification.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Operate a large passenger motor vehicle transporting students and other passengers to destinations inside and outside the school district in a safe and orderly manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
BUS DRIVER DUTIES:

Operation of a gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicle to transport students between neighborhoods at Nolan Creek School, Belton Texas and school activities in Georgetown and/or other two campuses for field trips or other activities.

Pick up and drop off students at the Nolan Creek School campus in Belton, Texas, according to a strict and consistent schedule
-
Maintain order/discipline among pupils during trips which include instructing students on safe riding rules, in order to ensure safety and report any problems to appropriate staff
-
Supervise students while they board and leave the bus and cross the street
-
Communicate with staff on a daily basis regarding student behavior while on bus
-
Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips per hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, accident reporting for TEA and more.

Be available on-call for emergencies, as needed
-
Compliance with traffic safety regulations and laws in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner

Observance of safety rules as students are boarding and exiting buses, and as they cross streets near bus stops

Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions
-
Check bus for mechanical defects before and after each operation
-
Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort
-
Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs
-
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations
-
Check and monitor the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order

Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort
-
Keep bus interiors clean for passengers and exterior cleaning as needed
