New York Family Dental Arts is a growing multi-specialty dental practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and highly organized professional to join our team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable performing multiple administrative functions, including reception, treatment presentation, insurance coordination, and billing.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of dental office experience required
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification, benefits, copays, deductibles, and PPO plans
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with Denticon is a plus (training available)
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment flow
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Present treatment plans and discuss patient financial responsibilities
- Calculate and explain copays, deductibles, and treatment estimates
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist with billing, insurance claims, and collections
- Coordinate patient treatment and follow-up appointments
