Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LPN or RN to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices across various specialties. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, overseeing nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal delivery of services.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care quality, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
- Oversee the training and orientation of new nursing personnel, ensuring they are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage while considering staff well-being.
- Engage in performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback to promote professional development.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with significant clinical experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or trauma medicine is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to triage patients effectively.
- Familiarity with specialized treatments including botulinum toxin treatment, dialysis, or palliative care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients alike.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
