Millcreek Township has a full-time opening for a Laborer in Streets Maintenance.
We are looking for an experienced individual to perform a variety of road and street maintenance. Duties include the maintenance of roadways including plowing, salting, paving and patching; installation and maintenance of storm sewers, drainage ditches and catch basins; and general right-of-way maintenance.
Qualified candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement. Welding and masonry experience is beneficial. Previous experience involving road construction and maintenance, including the operation of related equipment, is strongly preferred.
This position requires heavy physical work. Work is performed primarily outdoors, in all weather conditions. This position requires 24-hour availability in response to emergencies, including hours outside of normal shifts (nights and weekends), and overtime.
