We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Asphalt Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience operating Skip Loaders and Asphalt Rollers and a strong understanding of construction site processes. This role is essential in successfully completing large, complex asphalt paving projects. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating machinery safely and efficiently while contributing to a collaborative work environment. MUST HAVE COMPLETED AND POSSESS A JOURNEYMAN CARD FROM AN OPERATORS APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as skip loaders, rollers and other machinery on construction sites.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition through regular inspections and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites as needed.
Requirements
- JOURNEYMAN CARD FROM OPERATORS APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with skIp loaders and rollers.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
