As the General Manager at The Ruff House Stay & Play, you will oversee the performance of a very busy pet care business including doggie day care, boarding, training classes, private behavior consultations and the management of the team we employ.

- Capable of basic computer/printer troubleshooting;
- Open to learning our professional software for facility operations (Gingr);

You will be:
- Directing management of daily operations at The Ruff House Stay & Play, both while physically present and away.
- Ensuring compliance with operational objectives for quality pet care and effective leadership and management of staff members
- Screening, hiring, training, and managing teams in our daycare, boarding, and enrichment/training departments
- Managing lead staff (shift leads);
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring short- and long-range plans for improvement for staff and the business as a whole
- Helping prepare content and copy for marketing and social media materials
- Educating dog families on science-based, dog friendly, reward-based handling/training to better the lives of their dogs
It would be amazing if you:
- Have a good knowledge of animal management procedures and fear free handing such as canine body language, reward-based dog training, clicker training and canine enrichment.
- Have 3 years’ experience with operational management of a for-profit business that includes administrative, personnel, and financial matters with a diverse staff
- Are proficient with basic hand-tools for simple repairs of equipment.
