Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Project Superintendent who can provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on construction projects. This is a contract to hire position with a growing and well respected locally owned company. The salary offering is $85K - $90K.

Responsibilities include:
- Supervising total construction efforts to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
- Planing, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.)
- Supervising craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
- Authorizing and/or approving all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.
- Providing technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
- Assisting project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
- Ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Documenting all violations, notifying project management, recommending/implementing corrective actions as required.
- Assuming responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
- Performing additional assignments per Supervisor's direction.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational and experience include: Four (4) year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Minimum of eight (8) years construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules and safety are required.
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.
