Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures
- Perform animal catheterization and X-rays
- Provide animal restraint and handling during procedures
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of veterinary equipment and facilities
- Educate pet owners on proper care and treatment plans
Requirements:
- Certification or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
- Proficiency in animal physiology, husbandry, and care
- Experience with kennel operations and pet grooming
- Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with both pet owners and team members
