Job Description:
Staff aides will assist our qualified instructors and directors by providing operational support throughout our morning and/or afternoon operations for children to S.M.A. families who need child care beyond traditional school hours in a fun, fast-paced, and licensed environment. Those extended hours are on Wednesday mornings from 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM and in the afternoons from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM (Monday through Friday) while school is in session.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Staff aids SHALL:
● Arrive five (5) minutes prior to the start of every shift (6:55 AM for Wednesday mornings and/or 2:40 PM for afternoon care).
● Review and help set up for that day’s session alongside other staff aides and qualified instructors.
● Proactively monitor the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
● Continuously engage children in fun and age-appropriate ways under the guidance and supervision of qualified staff and directors.
● Complete, pass, and stay current on all background checks, trainings, and documentation as required by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood.
● Follow all closing procedures as outlined in the onboarding process.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Staff aids must be sixteen (16) years of age and must work directly under the supervision and observation of qualified instructors and directors.
2. Staff aids must complete and pass all background checks (FBI, CBI, and TRAILs) prior to working with children.
3. Staff aids must complete and remain current on all cited documentation and training required by Colorado Department of Early Childhood Ruling 2.213.
4. Staff aids are expected to act with integrity, respect, and responsibility in all interactions. This includes meeting deadlines, communicating constructively, dressing appropriately, following safety protocols, and protecting company assets.
Salary/Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 per hour. Staff aids are not eligible for benefits at this time.
