Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer, where your skills will drive the success of diverse infrastructure projects. Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating and installation to support infrastructure development
- Perform site preparation activities including excavation, grading, backhoe operation, and dozer work following project specifications
- Support construction safety procedures by adhering to federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to execute complex tasks like construction site grading and paving with precision
- Operate commercial trucks for transporting materials and equipment across job sites while maintaining compliance with all transportation safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), loaders, graders, dozers, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Construction site experience with a focus on utility work, excavation, grading, paving, and general construction activities
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures essential for maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to perform construction utility locating accurately and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to project timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Construction experience involving heavy equipment operation such as dozer or grader operation is highly desirable

Pay: $18.00 - $42.00 per hour
