Job Summary:
The HR Manager will play a critical role in personnel management, strategy development, and state-specific compliance. Working closely with leadership, you will oversee recruitment, employee relations, and performance management to ensure our teams are supported and our company objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR: Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with overall business goals.
- Talent Acquisition: Manage the full-cycle recruitment and selection process to maintain a qualified, diverse workforce.
- Employee Lifecycle: Oversee professional onboarding, training, and development programs.
- Culture & Engagement: Foster a positive workplace culture and serve as a primary point of contact for employee engagement.
- Relations & Mediation: Handle employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and provide professional resolutions.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to federal, Virginia, and Maryland state employment laws.
- Performance Management: Manage appraisal cycles and assist with career development planning.
- Policy Oversight: Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring clear communication to all staff.
- Budgeting: Prepare and manage budgets for departmental and HR operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Regional Knowledge: Strong familiarity with employment laws and regulations specifically for Virginia and Maryland.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to lead initiatives across multiple locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in HR or a related field.
- Certification: SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience within a dental or medical practice environment.
