Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Barback to support our bustling nightclub and hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth operations during night shifts. Experience in food service, catering, or hotel settings is a plus, along with strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional service in a lively atmosphere. All assistants receive tip out from servers or bartenders.
Responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies, glassware, and utensils to ensure seamless service
- Assist bartenders with food preparation, garnishing, and basic drink assembly
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses and surfaces
- Buss tables and clear empty dishes or trash from the bar and dining areas
- Support food handling and serving duties as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions
- Help with catering events or banquet setups when required
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant, catering, or hotel service is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in nightclub, banquet, or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain cleanliness standards
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Previous barista experience or serving background is beneficial
- Capable of working night shifts in a lively nightclub setting
- Excellent multitasking skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere and handle cash handling responsibilities if assigned
