Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney role based in Asheville, NC. The Associate Attorney will support real estate and related practice areas, including reviewing and drafting contracts, completing and reviewing title work, managing title curative projects, preparing closing documents, and managing residential and commercial real estate transactions from intake through closing. The role involves negotiating terms with counterparties, coordinating with lenders, agents, and other stakeholders, and ensuring that all matters comply with applicable laws and regulations. The Associate Attorney will also participate in client meetings, maintain organized case files, and contribute to a professional, calm, and client-centered office environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in real estate law, title work, and transactional practice is required.
- Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to clients, both in writing and in person, with strong professional judgment.
- Collaborative negotiation skills aimed to resolve issues among clients, counterparties, lenders, and other parties while protecting client interests.
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar (or eligibility and intent to obtain admission in North Carolina within a defined timeframe).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
