Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscaping Crew Leader/Driver to oversee and execute a variety of outdoor maintenance projects. In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of landscaping professionals, ensuring high-quality work while managing daily operations. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, lawn care, tree care, irrigation, and gardening will drive the success of our projects. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate tasks, supervise crew members, and operate vehicles safely and efficiently. Duties
- Lead and supervise a landscaping crew to complete projects efficiently and to high standards of quality.
- Operate trucks and landscaping equipment safely, including trailers, mowers, trimmers, and other tools essential for landscape maintenance.
- Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks based on project requirements and team strengths.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, pruning, planting, mulching, and irrigation system installation or repair.
- Oversee tree care activities including trimming, removal, and health assessments.
- Ensure all work sites are maintained safely, clean, and organized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met and issues are addressed promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a focus on quality results.
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, gardening techniques, and plant health management.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to landscape projects such as grading or hardscaping.
- Skills in tree care including pruning, trimming, and safety procedures.
- Experience operating irrigation systems and performing routine maintenance on landscaping equipment.
- Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and guide a team effectively.
