Construction Superintendent – Demolition & Grading

Pay: $23.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Description
A2Z Construction is looking for an experienced, dependable Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for demolition and grading projects throughout Orange County.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on construction experience, knows how to lead crews, and can take responsibility for keeping jobs safe, organized, productive, and on schedule.
This is a field-focused position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day jobsite operations and communicating with project managers, crews, subcontractors, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field operations on demolition and grading projects
- Lead and coordinate laborers, operators, subcontractors, and other field personnel
- Plan daily work and assign responsibilities to crew members
- Keep projects moving according to schedule and scope of work
- Coordinate equipment, materials, hauling, and other jobsite needs
- Monitor job quality and productivity
- Enforce company and jobsite safety requirements
- Conduct daily jobsite and safety checks
- Communicate project progress, delays, and field issues with project management
- Identify problems in the field and help develop practical solutions
- Maintain organized, clean, and professional jobsites
- Track daily progress, manpower, equipment, and completed work
- Communicate effectively with English- and Spanish-speaking crews
- Assist with field work when necessary to keep projects moving
Requirements
- Previous construction field experience required
- Superintendent, foreman, or crew-lead experience strongly preferred
- Experience with demolition, grading, excavation, site work, or renovations
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate field crews
- Good understanding of construction safety and jobsite procedures
- Ability to read plans and understand project scopes preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take ownership of assigned projects
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Compensation
$23.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on construction experience, leadership experience, and qualifications.
