Job Posting Summary
Desert View Counseling & Consulting is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to join our growing team in Peoria & Phoenix. We are a collaborative, patient centered mental health practice offering a full continuum of care, including therapy, medication management, and advanced interventional psychiatry services.
The Clinical Therapist will provide high quality, evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families, supporting patients with a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatric providers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Ideal candidates are licensed (or license-eligible) in the state of Arizona, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and are passionate about delivering personalized, empathetic care. Experience with modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed therapy is preferred.

Job Duties Include
* Assessment, diagnoses and treatment of new/existing patients mental health disorders.
* Coordinate with the client and their supports to create and implement an effective service plan, explain the available clinical options to the client and their built in supports and help identify the positive and negatives of the options
* Provides clinically appropriate psychotherapy services in accordance with applicable ethical codes, rules, and regulations
* Ability to comfortably discuss/reccomend patients for Advanced Interventional Psychiatry services when needed.
* Serves as the point of contact for coordination and open communication with other systems where clinical knowledge of the case is crucial
* Provides clinical overview to ensure provision of all covered services identified on the service plan
* Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment through the ongoing assessment of the patient and their natural supports that may result in altering to the service plan, as needed
* Maintaining a comprehensive and detailed client records
* Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Certification, Education, and Experience Requirements
* Requires a degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work with a current Arizona License, or in pursuit of a license from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, pursuant to A.R.S. Title 9, Chapter 20: (LPC, LAC, LMFT, LAMFT, LCSW, LMSW, NP)
* Continuous proof of license is required for sustained employment and will be verified by our credentialing team. Our credentialing team will be verifying the license is current, valid and has not been on the exclusions list
* Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people to build strong relationships
* Ability to thrive in a group practice/team environment
* Problem-solving skills and detail orientation are required
* Multi-tasking, quick learning, and the ability to adapt to change easily
* Proficient in the prevention of harmful behavior or violence to the patient and/or others
* Act as the primary provider of couples, individuals, families and/or group therapies to our patients
* Able to work independently, and collaboratively
* Telehealth experience is preferred but not required
