Job Description
We are looking for a Data Center Deployment Specialist based in the Atlanta area to support data center deployment activities.
The primary responsibility of this role is to review and understand deployment plans provided by the engineering team and accurately execute the required work on-site. This includes identifying rack locations and RU positions, installing equipment, relocating existing equipment, and removing/decommissioning equipment according to the approved plan.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently in a data center environment and be able to translate engineering plans into accurate on-site execution.
Responsibilities
- Review and understand deployment plans, rack elevations, equipment lists, rack locations, and RU assignments.
- Identify the correct equipment, rack, and RU position based on the provided plan.
- Perform rack-and-stack installation of network and data center equipment.
- Perform equipment relocation and migration between racks or locations.
- Perform equipment decommissioning and removal as required.
- Install and organize power, fiber, and network cabling based on deployment requirements.
- Verify equipment placement, connections, and labeling against the approved plan.
- Identify and report any differences between the deployment plan and actual site conditions before proceeding.
- Update deployment records and provide completion documentation, including photos when required.
- Coordinate with engineers and other team members to resolve deployment questions or site issues.
- Support equipment inventory verification and site surveys when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a data center, network, telecom, or IT infrastructure environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand rack elevations, RU information, deployment plans, and equipment documentation.
- Experience with rack-and-stack, equipment installation, migration, or decommissioning preferred.
- Basic understanding of network equipment, racks, PDUs, fiber, copper cabling, and power connections.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Comfortable performing hands-on work in a data center environment.
- Able to work independently and communicate clearly with engineering and project teams.
- Must be based in or near Atlanta, Georgia and available for on-site work.
- Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin Chinese for day-to-day work coordination.
Preferred Skills
- Data center deployment or field operations experience.
- Network/telecom equipment installation experience.
- Fiber and structured cabling knowledge.
- Equipment inventory and asset management experience.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
