American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Acute Orthopedics Med/Surg position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Acute Orthopedics unit within a regional medical center

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

13-week contract

Active NM or compact RN license required

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty

BSN preferred

Provides nursing care using the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients

Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
-
Assesses patient and caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate education
-
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care delivered

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
