Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of our facility. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks.
- Develop work schedules, assign duties, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to uphold cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and equipment use.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement needs.
- Enforce safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Address guest or staff concerns promptly with professionalism and effective communication.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, and safety incidents.
- Collaborate with management to implement process improvements for enhanced cleanliness and efficiency.
- Promote a team-oriented environment that encourages high performance and continuous development.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Strong supervisory skills with previous team management or leadership experience.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management.
- Excellent managerial communication skills for effective team supervision and stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to oversee janitorial operations with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Experience in managing laundry services as part of housekeeping responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with management principles related to housekeeper supervision and team supervision.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
