The Local Store Marketing Manager (LSM Manager) is a field-based, community-focused marketing role responsible for driving customer count, catering sales, and brand awareness at the store level across an assigned portfolio of 8-10 JRECK Subs franchise locations. This is not a desk job — you are in the market every day, building relationships, activating promotions, and putting JRECK Subs in front of new and existing guests.
You are the boots-on-the-ground marketing engine for your assigned franchisees, working directly with store owners and managers to execute local marketing strategies that drive measurable results. You report directly to the Director of Marketing and are a critical member of the JRECK Subs corporate marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Local Store Marketing Activation
● Execute LSM plans for each assigned franchise location on a rotating weekly schedule
● Distribute catering menus, promotional flyers, and discount offers to targeted businesses, schools, and community organizations within each store's trade area
● Conduct regular blitzes — targeted outreach campaigns to high-potential businesses and organizations within a 3-5 mile radius of each location
● Set up and staff JRECK promotional tables at community events, farmers markets, sporting events, and local festivals
● Coordinate with franchisees on in-store promotional displays and point-of-sale materials
2. Catering Sales Development
● Identify and pursue catering opportunities within each store's trade area — corporate offices, schools, healthcare facilities, government offices, sports teams, and event venues
● Build and maintain a catering prospect database for each assigned location
● Conduct in-person catering presentations and tastings with key decision makers
● Follow up on all catering leads within 24 hours
● Track catering sales growth by location monthly
● Target: grow catering revenue by 20-30% at each assigned location within 12 months
3. School & Youth Program Partnerships
● Develop relationships with K-12 schools, PTAs, and youth sports organizations
● Establish JRECK fundraiser nights (% of sales donated to school/organization)
● Create school lunch catering programs where applicable
● Partner with youth sports leagues for team meal packages and sponsorships
● Build relationships with school athletic directors for game day catering
● Target: minimum 2 active school/community partnerships per assigned location within 6 months
4. Business-to-Business (B2B) Partnerships
● Identify anchor employers, business parks, and office complexes near each location
● Establish recurring lunch delivery or catering relationships with local businesses
● Create corporate account packages — weekly lunch programs, standing catering orders
● Partner with local chambers of commerce and business associations
● Attend local networking events representing JRECK Subs
● Target: minimum 3 active B2B partnerships per assigned location within 6 months
5. Community Engagement & Brand Building
● Represent JRECK Subs at community events, charity functions, and local sponsorships
● Identify sponsorship opportunities aligned with JRECK's community values
● Build relationships with local media — newspapers, radio stations, and community blogs
● Coordinate with franchisees on local social media content and community posts
● Support grand opening activations for new franchise locations in your territory
6. Franchisee Partnership & Collaboration
● Meet with each assigned franchisee or store manager weekly to align on LSM priorities
● Share weekly activity report with franchisee — what was done, who was contacted, results
● Train franchisee staff on how to handle catering inquiries and convert them to orders
● Educate franchisees on LSM best practices and how to sustain activity between your visits
● Gather franchisee feedback on what's working and what needs adjustment
● Build genuine trust with franchisees — you are their marketing partner, not a corporate auditor
7. Reporting & Performance Tracking
● Submit weekly activity report to Director of Marketing covering locations visited, businesses/schools contacted, catering leads generated, events attended, and partnerships established
● Track and report monthly KPIs for each assigned location: guest count trends, catering revenue growth, active B2B partnerships, active school/community partnerships, and LSM activities completed vs. planned
● Participate in monthly marketing review with Director of Marketing and VP of Operations
● Flag any location showing 2+ consecutive weeks of declining guest counts to Director of Marketing immediately
Qualifications
Required
● Demonstrated ability to build relationships quickly and authentically
● Self-starter who thrives working independently in the field without daily supervision
● Strong verbal communication and presentation skills — comfortable walking into businesses cold and making a compelling pitch
● Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle — this role requires significant daily travel (mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate)
● Proficiency in basic reporting and CRM tools
● Genuine enthusiasm for the JRECK Subs brand and community involvement

● Experience in QSR, food service, or franchise marketing
● Existing relationships with schools, businesses, or community organizations in Central New York
