We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Clinical Research Coordinator to help conduct ophthalmology clinical trials at Retina Consultants. The ideal candidate would have experience with industry-sponsored clinical trials. Experience in the field of ophthalmology or optometry is a plus, but not required. This position requires excellent communication, computer literacy, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with other team members in a fast-paced environment.
Retina Consultants is a busy ophthalmology practice in central Connecticut specializing in diseases of the retina including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments. We are committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients while also creating a positive and inclusive work environment for our entire team.
Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Study startup and closeout
- Patient recruitment
- Obtaining informed consent
- Supervising patient visits
- Preparing patients for study-related treatments
- Data collection and entry
- Maintenance of accurate and complete records
- Communication with sponsors and external monitors
- Interaction with Institutional Review Board
- Working closely with other team members to foster a positive and cooperative work environment
